Shoals Service & Sound
Deep Ellum
Omar Yeefoon opened Shoals Sound & Service in Deep Ellum in 2017 and it has become a hotspot for Southern Rock 'n Soul vibes. Shoals features plant-based Latin American street food and a short list of classic comfort cocktails. This cozy bar is currently offering delivery or take away, Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Island Spot
Oak Cliff
Owned by Richard Thomas, the Island Spot is a Jamaican kitchen and bar authentic, serving Carribean cuisine, reggae and tropical drinks! The family owned establishment has perfected recipes for jerk chicken and curry, originally passed down from their Mama Joyce. Get a taste of the Carribean with mango juices, coconut shrimp or Jamaican rum bread pudding to support the local spot. The spirits are rum-focused favorites with flavors that will transport you to the islands. The restaurant is open for dine in and takeout.

Downtown Dallas
Owner Kevin Kelley is bringing Kitchen + Kocktails to Dallas this summer! Originally from Houston, Kevin aims to differentiate from traditionally modest comfort food restaurants by creating a first-class facility with a high of level service and atmosphere. True Kitchen + Kocktails will feature gourmet Southern classics, craft cocktails, live music and DJs.
