All About Medieval Times
It's dinner and a show with a medieval twist, with some sword fighting and jousting thrown in for good measure. The family dinner theater is a popular attraction in Dallas and likely on a lot of bucket lists. If you're planning an outing, here's everything you need to know about visiting the castle.
The Dallas location is the only one in Texas.
Medieval Times has ten locations in the U.S. (along with a location in Ontario, Canada) and our location, centrally located near the Design District, makes it an ideal attraction to visit during a Dallas getaway. It's a fun and out-of-the-box experience for big groups traveling together or celebrating an occasion, thanks to a generous seating arena and three package options.
Arrive early – there's plenty to see.
There’s usually one evening show time during the week, with more options on weekends. The castle opens 60 minutes prior to the show starting, and those who arrive can check out the large lobby that hosts souvenirs and t-shirts to take home, fun lightables to take into the arena and, of course, a fully stocked bar.
The menu includes some classic favorites.
It’s well known that the dinner menu at Medieval Times is prix fixe, and it’s made plenty of fans over the years. Dig into your tomato bisque soup during the opening ceremonies and have fun eating your roasted chicken and sweet buttered corns sans utensils - no forks here!
The show is spectacular.
Your seats dictate which team you are rooting for (there are six total) and a clever color scheme helps you keep track of when to cheer for your knight (and when to boo for the opposing team). Watch for the queen to come out and call for the start of the show! It includes some majestic horses and even a falcon makes an appearance.
