Updated October 2024
We have already provided our readers with a list of pop-up holiday bars located throughout the city, but if you are looking for a holly jolly dining experience, here are seven places sure to keep your days merry and bright.
The French Room
Make your way to the Adolphus Hotel for an unforgettable holiday dining experience! Here, the French Room is transformed into an elegant Christmas-themed restaurant, where you can enjoy sophisticated high tea and decadent delights. Don't miss relishing a warm cup of hot chocolate in the hot cocoa lounge!
Mariano's Hacienda
The father of the frozen of the margarita machine meets Father Christmas at this classic Dallas establishment. Adorned with garland and lights, Mariano's is the perfect place to sip on a frosty drink all while enjoying the glow of a holiday yule log. I highly recommend ordering the off-menu, VIP Platter to enjoy with a group.
Hudson House
The Lovers Lane Hudson House location is merrier than ever, adorned with strands of ornaments and holiday glitz. This classic décor pairs well with the restaurant's navy upholstery and gold accents. Hudson House is an incredible seafood restaurant, and it makes one of the best lobster rolls and Bloody Marys in town.
The Zodiac Room
Very few Dallas venues are as iconic as the Zodiac Room at Neiman Marcus during the holidays. Enjoy the glitz and glam of Neiman's during the holiday season, as well as the buffet at the Zodiac Room. Dallasites have been coming here for generations, and there is a reason why.
Mercat Bistro
The Polar Bear Room returns this year from Nov. 26 through Dec. 31. Perfect for families, date night, and special occasions, guests are invited to book a unique dining experience featuring festive dancing polar bears. All reservations are a two-hour experience. To ensure a seat directly in front of the dancing Polar Bears, guests must specifically reserve the Polar Bear Table. This table requires a non-refundable $100 booking fee. If guests would like to be seated in the Polar Bear Room, this space requires a $25 deposit per person and will be placed as the minimum toward your bill.
The Mansion Restaurant at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek
This restaurant is one of the most heart-warming places year-round, but during the holidays, The Mansion Restaurant is elegantly decorated and offers seasonal fare and drink. Pair all of this with the lovely fireplace and staff, and it's essentially a Nat King Cole song personified. If you are looking for a little more jingle jangle, I'd suggest the Mansion Bar for happy hour before dinner; they have several very affordable drink offerings.
Paradiso
Paradiso located in the Bishop Arts District, this Italian-style restaurant is saying "Buon Natale!" with its greenery, golden ornaments and lighted stars. If the festive interior isn't enough, the charming patio offers trees wrapped in lights, sure to give diners a sense of wonder and glee. Tipsy Elf, the holiday bar, open Nov. 23, is also right next door!
Mi Cocina at Klyde Warren Park
This restaurant in Klyde Warren Park has decked its halls for all to enjoy this year. The glass-walled Mi Cocina fills diners with the spirit of the season as they enjoy the holiday décor and all the festive lights of Klyde Warren Park.
The Henry and St. Henry's Winter Wonderland
The Henry transforms their rooftop bar into an exclusive holiday getaway complete with amazing cocktails and festive experiences that'll take your breath away all night long. Reservations are encouraged for parties of six or more and private dining rooms are available for larger parties.
Restaurant DeGolyer
Very few places in Dallas plan for the holidays as well as the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, and the garden's Restaurant DeGolyer is certainly no exception. While enjoying the 12 Days of Christmas and the Christmas Village, don't miss out on a holiday tea or luncheon inside the festive Restaurant DeGolyer.
Knox Bistro
Knox Bistro is a whimsical holiday escape, where Parisian vibes and illuminated garlands come together and make an unforgettable winter dining experience. Garlands decorated with strings of lights, ornaments, and ribbons will make you feel like you're in your own Hallmark holiday movie. From freshly baked pastries to authentic French entrees, treat your tastebuds to the gift of culinary masterpieces.
Catbird
Nestled in the Thompson Dallas, Catbird feels like a vibrant and cozy speakeasy during the holiday season. From East Coast oysters to tantalizing cocktails, there's something for everyone. Capture Instagram-worthy moments with a backdrop of sparkling garlands and oversized ornaments.
Ellie's Restaurant & Lounge
This Hall Arts Hotel restaurant is a glamorous year-round dining experience, but holiday cheer truly comes alive with its Christmas decor. Whether you're having breakfast or dinner, Ellie's Dallas is a winter wonderland, adorned with frost-covered trees and disco ball-like ornaments.
Nick and Sam's Steakhouse
Whether you're a fan of seven-layer cake slices or steaks that are cooked to perfection, Nick and Sam's sets the perfect scene for an indulgent, food coma-inducing adventure under captivating Christmas decorations. A curated wine collection, a chocolate chip cookie cake, and dry aged steak with black truffle butter are just some of the highlights.
Beverley's Bistro Bar
Spend the most wonderful time of the year dining at Beverley's Bistro & Bar, where you might spot life-sized picture of one of Santa's enthusiastic workers from the movie "Elf!" An array of string lights hand from the ceiling and magical Christmas trees stand by the front of the entrance, while multiple holiday wreaths are hung from the exterior of this charming eatery.
