Tax-Free Weekend is a Texas tradition tax-exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks under $100, so you can get the kids everything they need before classes resume. Find a full list of qualifying items (and taxable ones) can be found on the Comptroller's website.

Galleria Dallas
This three-level shopping center has everything you need and more. With more than 100 stores, ranging from high-end shops to department store favorites, there's plenty of great options – so take your time exploring every level. Take a spin on the ice rink while you're there, then break for lunch at one of the center's many restaurants like Mi Cocina, Little Katana or Grand Lux Café.
Shops at Park Lane
Check out the Shops at Park Lane for boutique finds and traditional retail stores. The shopping center, located just minutes north of Downtown Dallas, features nearly two dozen retail stores and it's a great alternative to the busy crowds at the mall. It's also home to the largest Whole Foods in North Texas, so stay for lunch or grab a quick bite to eat at Bar Louie or Bowl and Barrel, all of which are conveniently located walking distance from all the shops.
NorthPark Center
Offering over 200 stores, comprised of luxury brands, retail favorites and department store staples, NorthPark Center is a local favorite. Not only is it known for great shopping, but there's also tons of impressive art work by world-renowned artists on display throughout the center. They're even offering extended hours all weekend long, so you'll have plenty of time to get your shop on. While you're there, grab a bite to eat from the food court, or dine at La Duni or Breadwinners before finishing the rest of your shopping adventure.
West Village
If you're shopping for teenagers, college students or perhaps taking advantage of the deals for yourself, the quaint Uptown outdoor shopping destination, filled with boutiques and restaurants along tree-lined streets, is a great option for a small-scale shopping spree. Find shopping staples like J. Crew, Ann Taylor LOFT and Banana Republic next door to Dallas favorites like Untuckedit, Lorna Jane and Mizzen+Main. The Katy Trail, one of the city's best known walking and biking trails, is just steps away from the shops and is a great way to unwind after a shopping outing.
