Great Dallas Patios for Large Groups
Dather, enjoy and partake in one of Dallas' best pastimes.
We've made searching for a great patio to host your next group or meeting easy with this running list. Take your pick from spots featuring great barbeque and cocktails or impress your group with built-in entertainment options. It's hard to go wrong with any of these restaurants!
Terry Black's BBQ
This Deep Ellum BBQ joint has a great indoor space and the outdoor space matches. There's a second floor deck that offers great views of the action along Main Street, and great for distancing your group from the rest of the restaurant's patrons.
STIRR
STIRR has two locations – one in North Dallas and one in Deep Ellum – and both can accommodate large groups nicely. At the Deep Ellum location, the rooftop terrace is perfect for catching the sunset over the Dallas skyline, while the North Dallas location is perfectly located near the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel and many others.
JAXON Beer Garden
Enjoy one of Dallas' newest go-to spots with a visit to JAXON. Located in the AT&T Discovery District, JAXON offers front-row seats to all the action of the district and Downtown. Its prime location along Commerce Street puts it steps away from many of the Downtown area's hotels and an eight-minute walk from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas.
Happiest Hour
One of the original mega patios in Dallas, Happiest Hour has been a long-time favorite thanks to its proximity to the American Airlines Center. Today, Happiest Hour remains a favorite due to amazing city views, impeccable happy hour specials (a must with a name like that!) and more than 12,000 square feet of sprawling space.
Dot's Hop House
Another Deep Ellum staple, Dot's is made for a big group to enjoy some craft beers. Stake out a spot under the big chandelier on the patio, or make your way inside for a second pint.
Vidorra
Go for bold at this Deep Ellum Mexican-inspired hot spot. While its rooftop deck offers can't-miss views of the Dallas skyline, its downstairs patio is perfect for being close to all the action along Main Street, one of the neighborhood's most walkable streets.
Citizen
If your group is looking for elevated lounge vibes, Citizen is the way to go! Private bookings can take advantage of seasonable cocktail menus and shareable dishes, all in a captivating nightlife environment.
Restaurants on Lamar
With seven concepts, Restaurants on Lamar is hard to beat when it comes to options for your group. The icing on the cake? The proximity to the Kay Bailey Convention Center! Conveniently located just outside the Omni Hotel Dallas and just steps from the center, lunch and dinner couldn't get any closer. Options include Biergarten, a German-style beer garden that can accommodate up to 110 in its outdoor space, and Cafe Herrera, a locally-owned family restaurant serving up Mexican cuisine, with space to fit up to 200 people on the patio.
Backyard Dallas
Host your group in one of the liveliest patios in the city. Backyard Dallas has plenty of space (both private and semi-private, as well as indoor and outdoor) for your group to enjoy, and there's great entertainment built in. Work up an appetite for a made-from-scratch dish by trying your hand at fun yard games and activities like giant Jenga, foosball and darts.
Toller Patio
Enjoy a casual outing at Toller Patio. The colorful patio and restaurant, located just outside of Downtown Dallas along Ross Avenue, offers an easy ordering system via QR codes and table service no matter where you sit. Sit along the edges for a close view of action along the patio's many TVs and kick back! The patio is perfect for a breezy afternoon after a long day of work.
