Mowat will be participating in Q&A’s and hands-on hair and makeup workshops following the screenings.
“We're really excited to bring Donald Mowat to Dallas,” said Tony Armer, commissioner of the DFCIO. “Most people don't realize the enormous impact a makeup designer plays in the creation of film and television. To have someone of Donald’s caliber come to Dallas is a huge opportunity for the community to learn and experience his craft firsthand.”
Donald Mowat's work has been recognized internationally with numerous awards and nominations, cementing his place as a pioneer in the field. His accolades include an Academy Award Nomination for his work on Dune, three British Academy Film Award (BAFTA) nominations, a Primetime Emmy Award, two Saturn Awards, and a record-setting ten Make-up Artists & Hairstylists Guild Awards nominations.
