Dallas Police Department Law Enforcement Torch Run benefitting Special Olympics Texas
The Dallas Police Department partners up with Special Olympics Texas through the Law Enforcement Torch Run. Each year they put on the largest Torch Run in the State of Texas and help raise funds for local Special Olympics Texas athletes. Come join us on April 24th beginning at 8:15am and run/walk along side some amazing Special Olympics Texas athletes and some of Dallas' finest!

The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics was started in 1981 by Wichita, Kansas Police Chief Richard LaMunyon, and is Special Olympics’ largest grassroots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle in the world. Law enforcement officers throughout the world carry the "Flame of Hope" through the streets of their communities and deliver it to their local, state, national or world Special Olympics Games.
