The Team
The Stars franchise played its first game in Dallas in front of a sellout crowd on Oct. 5, 1993 and are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. Since their arrival, the Dallas Stars have made 18 postseason appearances and captured eight division championships, two Presidents’ Trophies, and won the Stanley Cup making them one of the most successful sports franchises in Dallas. Their continued success on the ice and in their community has grown deep roots and fostered a true love for the game of hockey in Dallas, Texas.
The Venue
The American Airlines Center (AAC), located in Victory Park, is home to both the Dallas Stars and the Dallas Mavericks and also hosts concerts for some of the biggest names in music. Built in 2001, the AAC is one of the finest multi-purpose venues in the world and continues to support the vibrancy and growth of the city of Dallas, hosting over 2 million spectators each year. Fans are treated to great views from each seat with state of the art visual and audio technologies and a wealth of great dining options inside the AAC and don’t forget to stop by the Hanger for all your game day gear.
The Neighborhood
Victory Park, home to a hub of shopping, dining and entertainment options, continues to blossom as one of Dallas’ most exciting up and coming neighborhoods and entertainment districts. For a pre-game dinner, make reservations at Billy Can Can and enjoy some Texas-style fare or grab a drink at Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, a bar located next to the parking garage across from the AAC. If you didn’t find tickets to the game, not to worry; just grab a seat at HERO, an expansive sports bar experience, and enjoy front row feelings from any seat in the house thanks to the array of giant screens available.
Game Time
Arrive early to the Victory Park and join the thousands of fans that descend on the neighborhood for food and fun before heading to their seats. Get to the arena with plenty of time to grab a snack and get hyped with all the pregame fanfare. The atmosphere and game time entertainment will keep you in your seat and on your feet all game long.
