LGBTQ+ Events in Dallas
Whether you like to dress up, give back or hit the dance floor, Dallas has something for you. Check out these can't-miss events happening all year long.
Dallas Pride
Dallas Pride is the mecca of LGBTQ events in North Texas. Pride weekend is held in June in Fair Park and consists of a music festival, family Pride zone, and the legendary Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade.
Black Tie Dinner
For more than 40 years, Black Tie Dinner has been a Dallas staple philanthropic event every fall with notable past headliners including Maya Angelou, Debra Messing, and Beto O’Rourke, as well as live entertainment throughout the evening. This event is the longest-running and one of the largest LGBTQ fundraising dinners in the U.S with up to 20 North Texas beneficiaries receiving proceeds from the dinner.
Turtle Creek Chorale Concert Series
Hear the triumphed sounds of the Turtle Creek Chorale, an award-winning male chorus with over 200 members performing concerts throughout the year. Some shows feature the entire group while others highlight smaller ensembles. Their annual holiday concert is one of their most popular of all.
Pride In Dallas
Before moving to Fair Park in June, Dallas Pride took place in September for decades in commemoration of a court ruling striking down Texas’ anti-sodomy law. In 2022, a new LGBTQ+ organization formed to bring a Pride event back to the Cedar Springs gayborhood in September with its own parade and other community events.
Gaybingo
Enjoy a night of legendary Gaybingo, presented by Resource Center and hosted at Station 4 (S4), every third Saturday of January through November. The event features a theme (such as Disco Divas or Ugly Holiday Sweater) that guests are invited to participate in, a drag queen host, plenty of laughs, and cash prizes to anyone with a confirmed BINGO!
Lambda Legal Landmark Dinner
Join Lambda Legal as they celebrate the wins that have moved equality forward and discuss the hurdles yet to come at their annual Dallas dinner each August. The event includes an open bar, an elegant dinner, and a variety of entertainment.
Diffa Wreath Collection
Easiest way to deck your halls, or doorways, during the holiday season! Held in November, the annual Holiday Wreath Collection features handmade designer wreaths and works of art that are all auctioned off the evening of the event.
Teddy Bear Party
You don’t need to be a member of the LGBTQ+ Bear community, but you need to bring along a stuffed one to get into this party. Held in December, Teddy Bear Party is a wonderful way to start the holiday season in Dallas. Formed as a labor of love in memory of lost loved ones, Teddy Bear Party will let you show your best moves on a hot dance floor and feel good about helping children and families in need.
House Of Diffa
Celebrate fashion and philanthropy at the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) Dallas chapter’s annual gala held every spring. The theme changes each year and includes an over-the-top runway fashion show worthy of any international Fashion Week presentation, live auction, seated dinner, and after party—all hosted by well-known local and national celebrities. The organization produces other events during the year, including Burgers & Burgundy in the fall, Wreath Collection during the holidays, and Picnic in the spring.
Toast To Life
The annual Resource Center dinner and fundraiser, held every spring, celebrates a year’s worth of life-saving accomplishments in the LGBTQ community. Celebrity guests, live music, food from top local chefs, an open bar, and a festive theme make for a truly fun evening of doing good.
Dallas Lgbtq+ Wedding Expo
If you are looking to get hitched in the Big D, check out the Dallas/Fort Worth LGBTQ+ Wedding Expo happening each summer. The best LGBTQ+ inclusive event staff and suppliers in the area will be there to answer your questions and make your special day a little more special.
Texas Bear Roundup
An event for members of the self-proclaimed “Bear” community, Texas Bear Round Up is a party to connect with Bears all over the world and to also raise funds to support local organizations. The event happens every March.
No Tie Dinner & Dessert
A non-traditional fundraising event, the idea behind No Tie Dinner & Dessert is for people to host a social gathering for friends at their homes. Guests are asked to make a donation of $75 or more to AIDS Services of Dallas (ASD), which in turn gets them access to the afterparty at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. It’s an evening of entertainment, music, and plenty of desserts. The event happens every April.
