The Mission of Masjid Al-Islam is to serve as an instrument to promote human excellence, integrity and guiding principles through the teachings of orthodox Islam found in the Quran and the life example of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)We are known for our history of implementing social welfare programs in South Dallas. The Islamic Charity Day, which later evolved into The Day of Dignity, is one of our most acclaimed achievements. It is a huge collaborative effort where faith based and community organizations alongside health and social welfare agencies help distribute hygiene kits, clothing, food, educational and job training opportunities to the disenfranchised. The annual event, on average, serves well over 1500 men, women and children from all walks of life.
